Psychology of Colors Peridot

The psychological and emotional power of color is influential, maybe even more than you think. Specific colors that we are drawn to, echo our personalities, illuminating a deeper story about our true nature, our deepest desires and what we want to communicate to the world.

Key Words: Peacefulness/ Healing/ Sustainability/Soothing

The color green, such as Peridot, has an interesting effect on us because it can be energetic and motivating, as well as calming and tranquil at the same time. Green hues have long been associated with nature, providing us with feelings of being refreshed, renewed and relaxed.

The green color found in Peridot is invigorating and rejuvenating, promoting healing and well being.

As we transition into Fall, the environment begins to change creating a gorgeous array of colors within nature. This time of year is a visual reminder of the beauty that nature creates and how influential and inspiring it can be for us. Our natural inclination is to celebrate this beautiful expression of color which is no wonder that September was once known as the month of festivals.

Green tones are believed to be associated with the Heart Chakra, or energy around the chest connected to the heart, lungs, and circulatory system. When we are angry, emotionally upset or anxious, this is the part of our body that is most directly affected. Wear the color green to bring in more of an abundance of love and tranquility.

Throughout history the color green has been a symbol of fertility and in the 15th-century was the ideal color choice for wedding gowns. Ancient Egyptians thought of Peridot as “the gem of the sun”

Peridot has been discovered in fallen meteors and Mars, as well as the Moon in Olivine form. In line with design’s focus on sustainability and nature, green hues are highly sought after. Light Greens are particularly energetic, evoking the spirit of nature. Peridot has a soothing, healing effect on the whole body, and is a useful means of keeping yourself grounded.

Eden Green Pearl with Crystal Green Colors

The Swarovski Crystal Eden Green Pearl is a vibrant evergreen type of color that stands out with intense shimmering hues. This fun and luxuriant type of verdant green is reminiscent of the 80s, but has received a contemporary update as opulence continues to infiltrate both day and evening-wear. The name Eden means delight, happiness and bliss!

swarovski-pearl-color-eden-green-and-green-color-inspirations.jpg

The Eden Green Pearl from Swarovski is a gorgeous tone to incorporate into your jewelry. The Eden Green flawlessly incorporates both darker and lighter shades of green colors which provides you with a versatile palette in your jewelry designs. It allows you to make energetic Spring and Summer jewelry designs, and would also be gorgeous Christmas Green for jewelry or ornaments.

The Swaovski Crystal color Fern Green is an almost perfect match to the Eden Green Pearl.

The lighter Crystal colors such as PeridotPeridot ShimmerPeridot ABPeridot AB 2XChrysoliteand Chrysolite Opal are wonderful lighter hues that pair well with the Eden Green if you’re looking to offset it with brighter influences for your Spring and Summer jewelry creations.

The Pacific Opal has more blue tones, but they’re soft and dreamy. I included it in with these green tones, as it could be a nice transitional color if you were wanting to incorporate some blueish tones as well.

The Erinite is a very unique green hue that lies between the lighter and darker shades of green, and pairs well with Pacific Opal.

The Crystal Scareabeaus Green is a vibrant peacock type of multi color Effect featuring iridescent greens and purples that is coated on one side of the bead and the other side is a medium crystal and grayish mixture.

The Emerald Satin is a dark traditional green color and the Sating coating darkens the green slightly while adding a slight silver shimmer to half of the bead, giving it a sophisticated sparkle as well as providing an antique look.

Emerald is a medium to dark tone that resembles a traditional Christmas green or Celtic Irish green that compliments the Eden Green well if you’re wanting to create a darker impact in your jewelry.

Emerald takes the medium to dark traditional Emerald color and softly brightens it by adding a delicate effervescent yellow sparkling coating to half of the bead.

The Green Tourmaline AB color is a medium green tone featuring slight olivine hints, similar to moss found in nature. The AB Effect enhances it with a yellowish sparkle to half of the bead, giving it an added sparkle. This unique color has been discontinued from Swarovski and once we sell out, we are no longer able to get them.

Color Combinations and Product Inspiration

Soft and strong are combined with an updated blend of red, violet and peach tones to reflect a contemporary unisex direction. Black and Burgundy hues merge with Amethyst to add extra depth and strength to this color palette.

Swarovski Crystal Product Inspiration

Edgy crystal shapes play on notions of both elegance and toughness for an updated armor effect in accessories.

The soft violet and crystal with the slightest hints of blue hues of Crystal Vitrail Light transition exceptionally well with the classically complex sparkle of Crystal AB. These are wonderful complimentary colors to the deeper tones of Amethyst, which blends very well with the rich bordeaux quality of Burgundy. Crystal Silver Night is a perfect progression into the deeper perspective of the always and forever-popular Jet black.

Swarovski Crystal Color and jewelry fashion trends in Classic

Designs will increasingly reference strength and power, with embellishment and decoration becoming fiercer; showcasing a desire not to back down.

Amethyst, Burgundy and Jet are traditional Fall and Winter staple colors and when these are mixed with the lighter elements of purple and peachy hues (Light Peach Crystals and Peach Pearls), it adds a little more balance and progression to the color palette as well as an uplifting feeling.

This beautiful display of colorful crystals begins on the left with the vibrantly stunning Crystal Astral Pink, which is a gorgeous blend of hot pink and orange hues coated with an iridescent rainbow effect. This unique finish has been extremely popular and will continue to be so as we move into the warmer months of summer and will be a nice transitional color moving into the fall with hints of Crystal Chili PeperCrystal Copper and Crystal Brandy undertones. It’s a fabulous color to pair with the new Tangerine color as well as Topaz, Topaz AB , Topaz AB-2X, Fire Opal, and Fire Opal AB. For a softer look pair with Light Peach or for a little more sparkle Light Peach AB. Furthermore, it serves as a beautiful blend into the bright pink hues of Fuchsia and deeper to lighter purple tones such as Amethyst, LilacLight Amethyst, and Violet.

The Crystal Lilac Shadow is a gorgeous coating expressing  a unique purple and crystal effect, which you can see above blends nicely with the purple hues as well as a transitional color into the blue family tones. Lavender is a soft blue hue that works perfectly as a transition color into Light Sapphire and then into the rich Sapphire blue. For a more subtly blue family start with the very light coating of of Crystal Blue Shade, which transitions nicely into Denim Blue, Crystal Montana Blend, Montana and Montana Satin.

Fern Green, Dark Moss Green, Emerald and Emerald Champagne are rich and vibrant green tones, that blend beautifully with the lighter Peridot and Chrysolite greens.

Jet black is a classic color that goes with almost everything and Swarovski has created many beautiful coatings and transitional colors that successfully blend into clear Crystal and Silver. Jet Hematite is an elegant coating applied to Jet that gives it a silver sparkle to half of the bead and Jet Hematite 2X is a fully coated version of this. This then can unify all of the grey to silver tones such as Crystal Silver Night, Crystal Satin, Black Diamond, Crystal Silver Shade, Crystal Moonlight, Clear Crystal and then Crystal CAL (which stands for Comet Argent Light) for a half silver and half crystal look, moving finally into Crystal CAL 2X, for a fully coated silver appearance.

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS NATURE LAB

The design world has its focus firmly on the future with the rapid ascension of 3D printing. “Indeed, the future will see us able to buy an item online and print it out at home. With digital files so easily manipulated, it will also enable companies to more quickly adapt their products as to what works, or let the user themselves experiment with the design to enable true personalization.” (Peter Weijmarshausen, CEO and cofounder of 3D printing marketplace and community Shapeways.) With the escalation of 3D printing capabilities, the architectural and sculptural will offer a different sense of luxury. In parallel with this, the designs of the future remain firmly committed to green issues. These concerns, coupled with the advance in technology, have created an entirely new design ethic, with structures mimicking nature enjoying a new-found success as wearable pieces of art. In what has been termed “Next Nature,” technology and nature will now coexist, with nature providing endless inspiration for technology. The meeting of these polar opposites – nature and science – is transforming not only urban spaces but also our wardrobes.
