We all know there is something extra special about making your own jewelry. You know exactly what styles you like best, and there is something magical that happens when you’re directly involved in the creative process of designing something beautiful. You feel accomplished, you’re energy level is uplifted, you feel a boost of optimism and are proud to wear your personalized jewelry.

It also feels incredibly great to make something for a friend, family or colleague as well as supporting self-employed designers. It’s a remarkable feeling when you purchase from designers, because you’re directly supporting their skills and passion which is essentially making their dreams come true!

A really unique fashion trend for 2015 is the unbalanced style!

The single-earring trend has given way to innovative ear ornamentation. The distinguishing characteristic is an asymmetrical look, whether in color, length or shape. Beauty is found in the irregularity of the style, it’s about branching out and embracing something totally different.

I admit, it can feel a little odd to not have matching earrings, but if you’d like to step out of your comfort zone and do something a little wild and crazy…then I say go for it, there’s no harm in trying something new. Plus, you can make it as dramatic or as subtle as you’d like.

The Swarovski Pearl color of Bordeaux is a gorgeous color that works very well for Marsala.

There are a few excellent colors that blend very nicely with the Bordeaux Pearls such as Indian Red Satin, Indian Red, Crystal Red Magma, Ruby, Fuchsia Satin and Dark Red Coral which has a solid matte-like look. (Some of these colors look different in the photographs, but when you put them next to the Bordeaux Pearls in person, they blend remarkably well.) Other similar colors for Marsala include Garnet, Burgundy and Siam. Similar Swarovski Pearls colors that compliment Bordeaux are Burgundy, Maroon and Blackberry.
