STEP 1: Insert a 4mm jump ring and Swarovski Pendant art. 6731 14mm Crystal AB onto a 6mm jump ring. Repeat this process six more times, but on the last one just use the 6mm jump ring.

STEP 2: Cut 14 6cm long pieces of wire and make a loop at one end to form eye pins.

STEP 3: Insert Swarovski Fancy Stones art. 4195 Crystal F 14mm and 22mm into the Swarovski setting. Gently close prongs using tweezers. Thread the Swarovski Fancy Stones onto a head pin and form a loop at the other end. Cut off excess wire. Repeat this step four more times, but thread the last one onto an eye pin as shown in our illustrations with this step.

STEP 4: Insert the disk pendant and the 4mm jump ring including Swarovski Pendant into the loop of one of the eye pins made in step 2. Thread 4 Swarovski Bead art. 5000 3mm Crystal AB onto the eye pin and then add the shell pendant. Make a loop at the top of the shell pendant as shown.

STEP 5: Attach another eye pin and Swarovski Pendant onto the loop make at the top of the shell pendant in the previous step. Insert 4 more Swarovski Beads and the disk pendants. Repeat this step one more time – see illustrations for clarification.

STEP 6: Insert the Swarovski Fancy Stone art. 4195 14mm into the top most loop of the piece from step 5. Repeat steps 4-6 three more times to get three more similar pieces but of different structure. See illustrations for clarification.

STEP 7: Cut a 10cm long chain and a 42cm long cord. Glue the cord ends into the cord endings. Attach one of them to a spring ring and the second one to a 7mm jump ring.

STEP 8: Attach all the four pieces from steps 4-6 to the chain leaving a spare of 4cm to act as an extension. Attach the last Swarovski Pendant to the last link of this extension.

Have fun making this beautiful Swarovski Crystal jewelry design!

STEP 1: Cut 2m of 0.3mm nylon thread. Tie a single knot onto one end of the bead weaving loom and thread it through the loom as shown in our illustrations with this step until you have 6 horizontal rows. Attach the other end to the loom with tape.

STEP 2: Cut 1m of 0.15mm nylon thread. Tie a single knot onto the end and slide on two Swarovski Bead art. 5328 3mm in Light Siam and two White Alabaster alternating. Repeat 3 times and end with two Light Siam beads. Slide the string underneath all the horizontal strings as shown in the illustration.

STEP 3: Insert the nylon thread back through the beads and each time over the horizontal string until the end. This will produce clusters of 4 beads and then 3 beads.

STEP 4: Repeat steps 2 & 3 to get 32 more vertical strings onto the loom.

STEP 5: Repeat step 2 & 3, but string on two Swarovski Bead art. 5328 3mm in Light Siam, two White Alabaster, two Light Siam and only one White Alabaster. Then string on 11 3mm Sapphire Beads. Repeat the pattern in this step once more. Continue to string on the same number of Light Siam and White Alabaster beads as done in this step and then refer to the illustrations for the random order of the Sapphire and White Alabaster beads to create the “stars”.

STEP 6: Remove the entire bracelet off the loom. Cut the two joined ends on one side to get six open ends. Tie a knot with the ends and melt the ends closer to knots as depicted in the illustration.

STEP 7: Cut two pieces of 7cm tape and place the tape under the nylon thread ends on both sides. Wrap the tape onto the thread ends and cut off the excess tape.

STEP 8: Cut two pieces of 5.7×3.2cm long metallic leather and glue them onto the bracelet ends so that they are folded into half. Cut off any excess leather.

STEP 9: Put the upper and lower dies into the Crystal Applicator Hand Tool that go with the Swarovski Snap Fastener art. 1780/114 082 082 001 11mm. Place the Swarovski Snap Fastener Silver/Crystal into the lower die of the Crystal Applicator Hand tool and place the back part of the Snap Fastener onto the upper die of the applicator. Put the metallic leather part of the bracelet in between the applicator tool and apply the snap fastener.

STEP 10: Change the upper and lower die of the applicator and insert the other pair of dies.

STEP 11: Insert the top and lower part of the Swarovski Snap Fastener into the applicator as done in step 9 and attach it onto the other side of the metallic leather.

Make Mom Feel Extra Special with this Sparkling Mother’s Day Gift Inspiration

Moms special day

Mom’s special day is quickly approaching!

What are you creating for your mom this Mother’s Day? Here is a sparkling design inspiration to spark your creativity.

Show your mother how much she means to you by saying it in crystal: embellish an expression of love with her favorite color of Swarovski crystals on a smooth white background, making this sparkling bangle a thoroughly modern memento of a very special day — one that your mum will keep forever.

Use Swarovski Crystal 2088 Flatbacks in whatever size you like to use (here is a helpful stone size chart). This bangle was created using the 3ss, but if this is too small for your liking, other popular sizes include the 5ss, 10ss and 12ss which all give nice detail.

The supplies and tools that you will need include: a white bangle, glue (E 6000 is popular or a two part epoxy), a paper tooth pick, transfer film, 12x4cm transfer sheet and tweezers.

STEP 1: Print out the pattern in a 1:1 ratio where the height of the text is 9mm.

STEP 2: Place the transfer sheet over the pattern. Using tweezers or a glue stick, place the Swarovski Flat Back No Hotfix (this bangle used style 2000 SS03 Indian Siam) over the text.

STEP 3: Place the transfer film over the text and pull the transfer film back to get all the crystals on the film as shown in our illustrations with this step.

STEP 4: Apply two part adhesive glue onto the Swarovski Flat back No Hotfix (style 2000 SS03 Indian Siam) with a toothpick.

STEP 5: Affix the transfer film onto the bangle and press the stones gently onto the bangle. Let it cure for the length of the time indicated on the glue package before removing the transfer film.

Give this gift with joy, knowing you made it not only with your hands, but more importantly, with your heart!

Wire Wrapping Video Tutorial and Swarovski Crystal Jewelry Inspirations

Swarovski Square Beads Wire Wrapped

Swarovski Crystal 4439 Square Beads Wire Wrapped Earrings in Crystal Lilac Shadow

Today I wanted to celebrate one of the oldest jewelry making techniques in history – wire wrapping!

Wire wrapping is a skillful art form, or craft used in creating beautiful handmade jewelry.

Swarovski Crystal Silver Night Baroque Earrings wire wrapped

Swarovski Crystal 6090 Baroque Pendant Wire Wrapped Earrings in Crystal Silver Night

I like the, shall I say the “simplicity” or “effortlessness” the wire wrapping look gives to jewelry. I don’t mean to say the process is simple or effortless because there can be many complexities in wire wrapping. But because there is no soldering or heating of the wire, the end design gives a whimsical and natural look that I love.

Swarovski Crystal wire wrapped earrings

Swarovski Crystal Beaded and Wire Wrapped Earrings

Examples of wire wrapping and beading techniques date back thousands of years ago from the Sumerian Dynasty and Ancient Rome. In this day-in-age where the DIY market has exploded in popularity, wire wrapped jewelry is a wonderful technique that can be learned and all kinds of people can create beautiful and unique designs for themselves and as gifts.

People love to harness their desire and create something new and unique themselves. There’s a deep satisfaction that comes from learning, doing and creating something beautiful and that’s why I wanted to celebrate wire wrapping as a fabulous way to add your own special touch to a unique piece of jewelry.

I hope you enjoy this video tutorial and have been inspired by these beautiful handmade pieces of jewelry, wrapped in wire – of course!

DIY Swarovski Crystal Charm Bracelet Design and Instructions

Swarovski_Summer_Bracelet_Free_Design_and_InstructionsBracelet Design Inspiration ~ Summer Grace Charm Bracelet made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS

DIY Swarovski Crystal Charm Bracelet Design and Instructions below.

I was sitting in the middle seat of an airplane the other day chatting with the people next to me and the gentleman to my left complimented me on my Swarovski crystal bracelets which grabbed the attention of the young lady to my right.

She perked up and said enthusiastically, oh yes gorgeous, I love Swarovski crystals!

It’s certainly wonderful to meet people who love and admire Swarovski Crystal Beads as much as I do. They were very impressed that I had made the jewelry myself, which I have to admit, felt really great that they appreciated my designs so much. It got me thinking about the status of the Swarovski brand. I suppose the age old saying “you get what you pay for” really applies to crystals. Yes, Swarovski is a higher end product because of its superior quality, clarity and faceting structure, yet it remains affordable to many people, of whom especially value excellence. People appreciate and are always drawn to exceptional products.

DIY-Jewelry-Ring-box

People have also truly embraced the idea that they can do many things themselves. The DIY market has exploded in popularity recently and it’s because when you make something yourself, there is an added benefit of feeling talented, skillful and capable of achieving things on your own.

Self sufficiency, now that is universally a very powerful feeling!

There is a genuine sense of pride when you take the rains and accomplish things yourself! You automatically infuse more value into what you have done, you appreciate it more and the enthusiasm that comes from creating something beautiful is poured into your next project, the next and the next. You come to the realization that you yourself are creating a continuous cycle of creativity, joy and self expression that is fun and immensely rewarding!
